A lone coyote attacked a 2-year-old woman in a park in Fountain Valley this week, authorities stated Thursday.
The assault occurred Tuesday evening inside Mile Sq. Park close to Euclid Avenue and Stonecress Avenue, the Fountain Valley Police Division stated in a launch. The kid was handled at a hospital and is recovering from her wounds, stated Cpt. Patrick Foy of the California Division of Fish and Wildlife’s legislation enforcement division.
The incident wasn’t instantly reported, and the coyote has not been discovered or captured, Fountain Valley police stated. The Division of Fish and Wildlife is main a search to find and euthanize the coyote.
